How to Change the Logout Sound Windows 10
To change the Windows 10 shutdown sound, the first thing we must do is press the following key combination:
- Windows+R
The “Run” command window will appear and we will put the following “Regedit.EXE” (without quotes) as in the photo.
It is now where we will enter the log files, do not forget to make a backup copy of the system in case you make a mistake or at least write down the steps that you are going to follow next so that in case of error you can reverse them. Well… let’s get down to business! Once the “Registry Editor” is open, we must go to the following path:
- HKEY_CURRENT_USERAppEventsEventLabels
In this folder we must locate the “SystemExit” folder , we enter inside. Once inside we will see a 32-bit file called ExcludeFromCPL , we will click on it with the right mouse button, a menu will appear, we will click on “Modify” .
Now we must change the “Value Information” from “1” to “0” , then we will click “Accept” , as in the photo.
Change Login Sound Windows 10
Now to change the sound when starting Windows 10 you must repeat the previous steps but in these other 2 folders:
- WindowsLogoff.
- WindowsLogon.
Enter System Sounds
We already have what it takes to change the sound of logins and shutdowns in Windows 10 now we just have to enter system sounds. To do this we must go to “Start” and then to “Cortana” .
Once inside we write “Change System Sounds” and enter inside.
And we can now access to change the Windows 10 logout sound and of course its start .
