Create A Text Document

It’s that simple to start our tutorial to put a password on folders in Windows, right-click on your desktop and create a text document .

Edit the name of the text document and give it a name like “Windows Folder Hider with Password” or something similar. Once edited, we will open it .

Now you must fully copy the code that I leave you in the following link and paste it into the document :

Now we must go to the section that says “CHANGE-THIS-TEXT-BY-YOUR-PASSWORD” and put the password we want (in my case I put MrAppsGeek).

Now we will give File>Save as..

After clicking “Save As…” we must put the extension “.bat” (without quotes) to our text document, we will click “Save” later.

If we have done it correctly, we will realize that the Protected Folder is hidden . Don’t worry, to make it visible we must execute the “Hider” again .

Again we will see a “Command Prompt” window in which it will ask us the following question: “Enter the password to show the Protected Folder” , we must put the password that we put in our old text document (in my case MrAppsGeek).

We already have our «Protected Folder» to life .

It is highly recommended that you hide the “Hider.bat” in a place on your PC that is not visible , this is basically in case someone knows this trick for Windows , have this file hidden and not on the desktop?
